An inventive new theatre show is coming to Bury this Friday and Saturday. Performed in a caravan, ‘Mobile’ is a 40-minute work that is part play, part installation. Touching on the themes of class and family, the show is based on personal testimonies collected in community workshops. Because of the unique ‘venue’, the audience can be a maximum of only eight people. If that sounds insanely exclusive, don’t worry: there will be 20 performances over the two days. On Friday, it will be performed in a car park in Ramsbottom, and on Saturday, it moves to Library Gardens in Bury town. The show was created by the Paper Birds Theatre Company, who have been towing the ‘Mobile’ caravan around the country and performing for the last couple of months. Along the way, they have garnered good reviews from the likes of The Guardian. Tickets for some performances have begun to sell out, so act fast.
