Brass goes electronic when Brooklyn dance band Moon Hooch comes to Band On The Wall. The techno jazz trio feeds their saxophones through effects to produce a party sound somewhere between Duke Ellington and Skrillex. It’s all beefed up by storming percussion from drummer James Muschler. The band began busking on the New York subway system before being banned by the NYPD. Via illegal raves, the collective now plays to sold-out crowds across the world. Their latest album ‘Live At The Cathedral’ was recorded at New York City’s St John the Divine, the largest Anglican church in the world. Support for this gig comes from Manchester rapper KinKai.
