Acclaimed singer Nick Murphy will bring his soulful tones to a special Warehouse Project gig at the Albert Hall. The melancholy Melbourne vocalist is touring his new EP Missing Link, his first work under his real name. Under his previous alias Chet Faker, he led a worldwide leftfield soul scene that, in some part, paid homage to 1990s r’n’b. Indeed, Faker’s cover of the Blackstreet classic No Diggity had a starring role in a Super Bowl commercial. For this concert, the Warehouse Project escapes from the arches underneath Piccadilly train station to bring the vibes to the Albert Hall. The converted chapel has played host to British Sea Power, Martha Reeves and Grandaddy. Murphy is playing just two UK dates before he shoots off to Australia with LCD Soundsystem.

Sat 2 Dec, Albert Hall, 27 Peter Street, Manchester M2 5QR. Tel: 0161 817 3490, 7pm, £20, www.thewarehouseproject.com
