On Fri 25 Oct, Salford Lad’s Club will welcome Noel Gallagher for a fundraising in-conversation event. This is an unmissable opportunity to see the ever-candid Gallagher in a highly intimate setting – the first two Oasis albums were written in his native Manchester, so his ties to the city are strong. The audience is limited to 150 people, with Salford University’s Associate Dean Kirsty Fairclough opening the evening with a conversation with Noel and then reading out selected audience questions for him to answer. The event will raise money for Salford Lad’s Club’s projects for its young members – set up in 1903, the aim of the club has always been to provide a variety of positive activities for young people. The club is run entirely by a team of volunteers, and is famous for The Smiths Room, a highly popular tourist attraction. Tickets cost £30 and are available from Ticketweb, and the event runs from 8pm till approximately 10pm, with an interval.
