Over three years since his last show in Manchester, composer and vocalist Owen Pallett (formerly known as Final Fantasy) makes a long awaited return this August. Having received wide acclaim for 2010’s Heartland, Pallett has also lent his talent to the likes of The National, R.E.M, The Last Shadow Puppets and Grizzly Bear in the past. Now turning his focus back to his own career, Pallett is expanding his renowned solo show and delving into a new format, with drummer Rob Gordon and bassist Matt Smith, intensifying his previous lone get up. Performing ahead of forthcoming new album In Conflict, this is his only announced UK date so far this year – so be sure to snap up tickets soon to avoid missing out. Support comes from experimental Brooklyn duo Buke & Gase, who take their name from their homemade instruments: the ‘buke’, a six-string former-baritone ukulele, and the ‘gase’, a guitar-bass hybrid.
