Cornerhouse is hosting a preview of Quartet, a new film written by Ronald Harwood (The Pianist, The Diving Bell and The Butterfly) and directed by Hollywood stalwart Dustin Hoffman. Expect japes and gentle humour as the film traces the fortunes of a group of former stars living in a retirement home for opera singers. The all-star cast includes national treasures like Maggie Smith and Michael Gambon as well as Scotland’s own Billy Connolly who will be on hand afterwards to take questions. Tickets went on sale at noon today.
