The host of Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update, Michael Che will be bringing his acerbic wit to Manchester this summer for one of only two UK shows this year. A New York native who spent time as a correspondent on The Daily Show before landing his job at SNL and becoming co-head writer at the show. Though he excels on the NBC flagship show he can truly let fly when on the stand up stage and his measured approach to touchy subjects are never not funny and at times incredibly important as seen in his Netflix special ‘Matters’ (go watch that immediately if you have it). Taking a ‘layperson’s’ view of political hot button issues Che never shies away from a fight and is one of the best comedians currently working in the states. Make sure you grab this chance to see him whilst you can and believe the hype.
