In celebration of William Shakespeare’s 450th birthday, the GB Theatre Company are staging two of the Bard’s best-loved works on The Lawns at Spinningfields in July. First of the two plays is The Comedy of Errors, one of Shakespeare’s earlier works, which is an outright comedy focused on the fortunes of two separated twins who are victims of mistaken identity. The second is arguably Shakespeare’s most famous and certainly one of his most analysed works: Macbeth, a dark tale of ambition, murder, guilt and madness that follows a Scottish general and his wife’s quest to become the rulers of Scotland.
