If someone were to invite you to a sausage fest in Stockport you’d more than likely eye them suspiciously for at least forty minutes regardless of your sexual proclivity. Hopefully after this amount of time they’d reveal that there was nothing salacious about it – just a bunch of humans eating sausage, drinking beer and generally having a good time. After this you’d be more interested but probably have a word with your friend about their phrasing of invitations. Brought to you by the High Peak Beer company the Stockport Sausage Festival will take place over three sessions over the May Day Bank Holiday weekend. Butchers and brewers from all over the North West will be on hand to serve and compete with their wares. Two of the sessions are fancy dress and the main event on Sunday afternoon offers free entry for children as well as entertainment for the little ones. A sausage fest worth going to Stockport for.
