There’s still time to catch some great classical music from young musicians at Chetham’s School of Music. The Stoller Hall plays host to Chetham’s Music Course, in which students get a chance to show off their talents in a series of public events. Book now to catch the three remaining events in their summer season. For the Sinfonia & Wind Band (Mon 3 Jul, 7pm, £6), middle school musicians take on Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony along with movements from Mendelssohn. Then, a full symphony orchestra will strike into action for Haydn’s masterpiece The Creation (Tues 4 Jul, 7.30pm, £10-£18), as special guest soloists join senior musicians from Chetham’s. And finally, The Sound Of His Music (Thu 6 Jul, 7.30pm, £10-£18) will celebrate Broadway legend Richard Rodgers, the man who gave us the never-ending ear-worms Oklahoma! and Blue Moon.
