Tickets are now on sale for the Summer of Lev, which has been described (by the event’s organisers at least) as Levenshulme’s answer to Glastonbury. The venue is The Klondyke, which you might know better as the local bowling and social club. A perennial event, it’s returning in early June, and bigger than ever. It’s now three days long with three stages presenting live bands, DJs, dance acts, comedy, and poetry. The full line-up will be announced soon. There’ll be a food and drink tent with real ales and a gin bar. And just like Glasto proper, you’ll find other arty and cultural things to do, including workshops, dance classes, yoga, mindfulness, and crafts. There’s also tonnes of entertainment for kids, including circus shows. Under-fives go free.
Fri 7 Jun – Sun 9 Jun, The Klondyke, 1 Burnage Range (off Albert Road), Levenshulme, Manchester, M19 2HQ, Tel: 0161 224 4122, £5 – £15, www.jumblebee.co.uk
