The Pendletons are E Da Boss (half of Myron & E on Stones Throw Records) and Trailer Limon (San Franciso funk stomper) who join forces for a West Coast boogie and modern funk project – imagine Dam Funk and ’80s Isley Brothers getting down in a Manc basement. They had their track Gotta Get Out hand picked for Gilles Peterson’s Brownswood Bubblers compilation last year, giving their back catalogue a boost in the process. Their recent EP Funk Forever has solidified and widened their following thanks to its release on London’s well respected Bastard Jazz label. Support comes from E himself in another guise, Lucid Paradise (in partnership with Ishtar), and London/Barcelona resident Reel2Reel playing serious soul cuts.
