Those looking for some half term inspiration wouldn’t go far wrong by visiting Dunham Massey this October. The National Trust property’s interactive theatre production The Lost Words: Told in Gold takes over their North Park space to install a maze of giant set pieces – including a huge birds nest that inquisitive minds can enter and explore – during Mon 21 – Fri 25 Oct. Taking inspiration from author Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris’s award-winning children’s book of poems and inspirations, this interactive event invites kids aged 4 and upwards to reconsider the various worlds of nature that are quickly disappearing from their day-to-day lives. Through music, dance and audience participation, The Lost Words: Told in Gold aims to ignite a love of the natural world within the young minds that pass through its specially built sets and interact with its on-site performers. The Lost Words has also been designed as a sensory experience suitable for visitors with visual impairment, SEN or autism. Tickets are currently on sale for £14 for adults and £10 for children, with family passes available from just £43. Entrance into Dunham Massey’s picturesque North Park is included with the overall price – making this the perfect half term treat! Looking for more half term inspiration?
