It’s coming up to that time of year again, where the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting spookier. There is no need to spend hours searching for a horror film to keep you up at night, when you can live out the reality. If you’re a lover of chilling tall tales and have £10.50 to spare, then Manchester’s upcoming guided walk is definitely for you. Walking tour guide Ed Glinert will be telling countless gruesome tales of the old Manchester graveyard on Fri 6 Sep. He will be meeting those who are brave enough to embark on this journey at Victoria Station wall map (on top of the graveyard) at 6pm. The guided walk will last approximately until 7.30pm. Unexplained death, hangings, decapitation and being buried alive – expect to hear about all of the dark history and terrifying secrets that lurk within these walls. One example is the case of John Beswick, which took place at some point in 1750. He woke in a dark, confined space, which he quickly realised was his coffin. He banged and cried out in desperation, luckily, there was a crowed willing to let him out. They were the mourners at his funeral. Watch where you step when you embark on this walk or you might end up like John… Tickets for this event are available now and can be bought via the booking link below.
