Is one Nicolas Cage film just not enough for you? Can’t get enough of watching him on the big screen? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then we may have the perfect event for you – a three-day Cage-fest at Manchester’s brewery-turned-screening room Chapeltown Picture House, featuring a selection of his best films like Wild at Heart, Con Air, and Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans – just to name a few. The cheese-fest fan event is due to start its OTT antics on Fri 20 Sep at 6pm, lasting right through the weekend until Sun 22 Sep, with the last film of the roster – last year’s trippy epic Mandy – being shown at 6.30pm. Want to go but can’t dedicate your whole weekend to pure, unadulterated Cage-time? Not to worry – the nice folks at Chapletown will let you buy tickets to individual screenings for just £5 a pop, while full weekend tickets will set you back £25. Screenings begin 10 minutes after doors open, leaving you just enough time to swing by Squawk Brewing Co’s tap room to grab yourself a craft beer, wine, cider or hot/soft drink, all which can be taken into the screening – as well as fresh hot popcorn! Explore the full line up here.
