Californian alt-rock ubiquity Ty Segall embarks on a UK tour next week, calling in Manchester at The Ritz. Amplifying up to 11, he plays his arsenal of instruments in more bands than most of us have had hot dinners, so expect a tour de force of virtuosity through six strings, drums and full-moon howling. When he parks the tour bus outside the Ritz, Segall will free his latest backing incarnation, named The Muggers, to run wild with the ideas screaming through January’s Emotional Mugger LP.
