Inspired by the legendary house balls of New York City, and the documentary Paris Is Burning, Manchester’s premiere drag/dance/fashion showdown Vogue Brawl returns this June. In its fourth year of fabulousness, Vogue Brawl gives Manchester’s fiercest children a chance to duke it out to be crowned winner of drag categories that include Dragstravaganza, Femme Real and Most F*cked & Busted. Run by queer club gurus Tranarchy, this year’s special guest judge is Darren Suarez, founder and host of the UK’s biggest annual ball, Liverpool’s House Of Suarez Ball. Vogue Brawl will be hosted by legendary Manchester queen Sheela Blige and singer/performer Jsky. Vogue Brawl returns to Islington Mill with a special late license, a bus to ferry people to and from the city centre, and, of course, a very fabulous catwalk.
