War Horse, one of the world’s most successful theatre adaptations, will begin a long run at The Lowry in November. Based on the novel by Michael Morpurgo and adapted for the stage by Nick Stafford, War Horse tells the tale of Albert and his horse Joey before and during World War I. This magnificent production uses life-sized puppets by South Africa’s Handspring Puppet Company, which successfully brings galloping and charging horses to life. Despite its run not beginning for weeks, there is already limited availability for the show, which continues at The Lowry for two months. Watch the trailer below.
