Revered by musicians, Wild Beasts are inventive, bold and unafraid to cut loose. They received a Mercury nomination for second album, Two Dancers (Domino) in 2010, and love from the likes of Pitchfork. Last year third album, Smother, secured their place as lords of the contemporary British rock scene. Despite the complex rhythms, harmonies and lush production values on record (think Everything Everything meets Kate Bush), they put on an irresistible live show. The four-piece from Kendal will be joined by vocalist Katie Harkin from Sky Larkin at Sound Control. For a sample of what to expect, check out Bed of Nails.
