Prolific American rapper Black Milk visits Band On The Wall this summer to deliver another of his authentic and soulful hip-hop sets, following the release of latest EP DiVE. The Detroit producer/MC also recently saw off the release of seventh studio album FEVER, his first since 2014’s If There’s A Hell Below. Over nearly two decades, Black Milk’s catalogue has developed into a multi-genre soundscape fusing electronic programming with live music, collaborating with the likes of J Dilla, Jack White, Pharoahe Monch and RZA in the process. His first LP, the self-released Sound of the City in 2005 led to his first independent record deal, and he began to gain international attention for the soul-sample-driven style on his proper solo debut Popular Demand in 2007. Real name Curtis Eugene Cross, Black Milk remains one of hip-hop’s most consistent artists, performing live with his band Nat Turner, becoming one of hip-hop and music’s most acclaimed live acts. Support comes from Australian rap duo Remi.
