Celebrating the fact that this is the season to be jolly – and that people are willing to do the kind of stuff they’d never usually do, because, well, it’s Christmas – Chester Zoo is being transformed into an animal lantern paradise for all ages after dark. The event is being organised by the team behind Just So Festival and The Lost Carnival, Wild Rumpus. There are more than 20,000 animals at the zoo, and this display, which returns after a successful debut last year, is bigger and better, making use of various corners of the 125 acre park with themed lit areas such as Shangri La, Northern Lights and Enchanted Woodland.
