The dynamic and boundary-pushing events of VIRTUALLYREALITY aim to provide a platform for internationally-renowned works encompassing music, multimedia, dance, theatre, performance art and audiovisual performances. Their latest season sees four new shows by local, national and international artists across Manchester venues, where differing artistic communities collaborate and collide. Their upcoming performance at Soup Kitchen presents Jennifer Walshe’s SELF-CARE, performed by Andreas Borregaard on accordion. The night will also see dancer and choreographer Last Yearz Interesting Negro and sound-artist Rowdy SS performing, along with rapper and performance artist IceBoy Violet. The final event of the season comes at Hallé St Peter’s in Ancoats, where a multi-disciplined evening of music and theatre explore themes of self and communication, as RNCM students perform Murat Çolak’s SWAN. The night will come to a climax with a live set from electronic artist bod [包家巷]. Tickets for all remaining shows are on sale now.
