Jamie xx is a remixer extraordinaire, producer for Rihanna and Drake, member of the xx and now solo artist. He’s bringing his debut album tour to the Albert Hall this October. His album is called In Colour and includes the hugely atmospheric Girl and slow burning rave monster, Gosh. Writer, Paul Flynn, describes the record as being able to look back and forward across the spectrum of British dance music – particularly its underground reaches. Tracks to date bring to mind early recordings by the likes of The Streets in their progressive yet accessible character. Jamie xx is already a hugely in demand DJ and live act – expect his star to have risen even higher by October. Feel the vibe.
