The Gin Society’s much anticipated Gin Festival returns to Manchester for two days on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September. With three sessions taking place – Friday evening, Saturday afternoon, and Saturday evening – there are plenty of opportunities to try over 120 gins on offer as the festival returns to Manchester Cathedral, where the first ever Gin Festival took place. Gin lovers will be able to sample gins from local producers, and those from further afield, as well as fruit gins, which are enjoying a spike in popularity. Those who have more of a fizz fancy will be able to get their hands on specially crafted Prosecco cocktails. To go along with the festival atmosphere, live music and DJs will be recreating a time when gin cocktails were king of the drinks scene. For those who want an even more in-depth gin experience, masterclasses take place throughout the day with talks from distillers. Tickets start at £8.50 and include a festival gin goblet, as well as a booklet so you don’t forget your favourites after a few g’n’ts too many. Drinks start at £5 after entry.
