The Marcus Intalex Music Foundation launch brand new night Foundation this Easter Sunday, taking over Band on the Wall with legendary drum and bass producer DJ Marky in tow, along with a host of other talent. Named the best DJ in Brazil at the RMC Awards 2012, Marco Antonio de Silva (or DJ Marky to you and I) has become one of the most sought after names on the drum and bass scene. First making waves on the UK scene in the late 90s with floor-filling residencies at Movement and The End, he has now seen off headline sets around the world, numerous Boiler Room and radio slots, as well as appearances at some of the world’s most prestigious clubs. Also on the bill, fans can look forward to local party starter MC Fox, who will be hosting the evening with his signature MC style, along with guests Dogger, Bane and Galvini. Foundation is an ongoing series of events spanning club nights, music workshops and creative programming, aiming to continue support and nurture emerging music talent, and adding to Manchester’s wider cultural landscape. The Marcus Intalex Music Foundation is a not for profit organisation set up in the memory of acclaimed techno and drum and bass artist Marcus Intalex, and all proceeds from the event go directly to the Foundation.
