After a successful first event in 2018, Not Quite Light is returning, and with an even more ambitious programme. This three-day festival will be held in and around Salford at the end of March. Events will take place mostly in the half-light of dawn and dusk, and will explore the themes of transition and regeneration. The diverse line-up features music, art, architecture, and debate. Among the standouts is Dave Haslam and The Option performing their ambient soundscape ‘Breathless’ live for the first time in the UK – with an accompanying live video. There’s a special edition of the spoken word night The Real Story – an evening of nonfiction pieces exploring themes relevant to the festival. And if you’re not a night owl, GRUB MCR will present an afternoon of food and drink from local independent operators. This will also feature speakers exploring food’s importance in helping regenerate communities. See the website below for the full itinerary.
