The Northern Quarter is a hub for urban artwork. The DJing dog that adorned the Koffee Pot and the ever-changing mural on Tibb Street have helped to define the area and you can find out more about these – and many other works – on one of the forthcoming Street Art of the Northern Quarter tours run by Skyliner blog’s Hayley Flynn. Running from July until late September, your trusty guide is Hayley Flynn, creator of the multi-award-winning art and architecture blog. She aims to describe the recent history of the NQ and Ancoats using the many examples of street art – plus there’s the added lure of the Cities of Hope project which saw leading artists creating murals in the area.
