Legendary ‘Pop Princess’ Sophie Ellis Bextor will be visiting Gorilla in 2017 as part of her upcoming Familia Tour. Bextor has long held onto her British pop royalty status since the early 2000’s with catchy classics like Murder On The Dancefloor and Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love) that made her a household name. She’s explored different genres like dance, with the Freemasons collaboration Heartbreak (Make Me a Dancer), to now reinventing herself again with latest album Familia that interestingly combines indie pop with folk and disco. Lead single Come With Us is a funky Donna Summer inspired floor filler that is incentive enough to book tickets for the Manchester show. Critically acclaimed singer songwriter Ed Harcourt produced the album that sees Bextor present an indie vibe this time while still staying loyal to her pop sensibilities.
