Sharply dressed mod rockers Secret Affair are to perform at Manchester’s Band on the Wall nearly 40 years on from their debut live show warming up for The Jam in 1979. Among the band’s other connections to the popular music fraternity is former drummer Seb Shelton’s transfer to Dexys Midnight Runners. Now touring as an eight-piece with a horn trio, the band can call on three charting albums worth of material, from the mod hits of their late-70s stardom to the rock-soul riffs that have revived their sound in recent years.
