Revered singer-songwriter Nick Drake is the subject of a new show at The Lowry. Writer and performer Michael Burdett travelled the UK photographing people as they listened to an unreleased Drake song he found in an Island Records skip. Alongside strangers, his solo audiences included Billy Bragg, Fearne Cotton and Ross Noble. After turning the project into an art exhibition and a book, Burdett now comes to The Lowry with a spoken word show Strange Face – Adventures With A Lost Nick Drake Recording, hailed by The Times as their best pick of last year’s Edinburgh Fringe. Complement your evening with The Lowry’s pre-theatre two and three-course dinner offer, which you can book when you buy a ticket for Strange Face.
