September 2019 marks the 50th anniversary of The Beatle’s final album, the legendary Abbey Road. Paying tribute to the magnum opus in their own inimitable way, the London Astrobeat Orchestra visit Band On The Wall to perform their seminal record with a West African twist. No strangers to Band On The Wall, the collective of musicians from West Africa, Europe and beyond are often praised for their tributes to classic albums, with their most recent visit taking on Talking Heads’ classic ‘Stop Making Sense’. With fan favourites such as ‘Come Together’, ‘Here Comes The Sun’, ‘Because’ and ‘Something’, Abbey Road has long-since been considered one of the Fab Four’s finest hours. On it’s release, the album sat at the No. 1 spot for four months, sounding as good today as it did 50 years ago. Support for the night on Swan Street comes from The Beat Chics DJs.
