The Manchester Soul Festival takes over The Printworks once again this August, raising money for the life-changing and life-saving work at The Christie. Returning for a fifth year, previous years have successfully raised over £100,000 for the hospital. With a full line-up still to be announced, attendees can look forward to peformances from local nine-piece party starters Stax of Soul, alongside Motown favourites The Soul Temptations, as well as DJ sets from KFM Radio’s Ray Lee and Dave Starr. Taking place across O’Neills, Bierkeller, Hard Rock Cafe, The Seven Stars, Tiger Tiger, Walkabout, Waxy O’Connor’s and Yates, the event hosts an exciting range of Northern Soul acts on their famous Frank Byrne Stage in the centre of the Printworks. Wristbands are available simply by donating £5 to their JustGiving page, though fans are of course welcomed to donate more for the good cause. Further details of the event, timings and acts are set to be announced soon.
