In the space of five years, Manchester folk outfit The Seniors have seen off a string of well-received EPs, performed two slots at Glastonbury and have built a strong fanbase playing prestigious venues up and down the country. Blending traditional folk songwriting with a modern, stomping indie twist, the band aim to offer music to “touch the heart, the soul and the dancing feet”, with clear influences of Elbow and Mumford & Sons. Hailing from South Manchester, the melodic cohort are regulars on the live scene, regularly playing at some of the city’s finest folk venues. Support on the night comes from local indie-folk outfit Hourglass, who offer heartfelt narratives under a blanket of melodic songwriting and soaring guitars.
