Acclaimed chamber orchestra Manchester Camerata ecclectic series of UpClose concerts return to HOME this Autumn. The first is in September, in the venue’s gallery. Performing will be Sven Helbig, a producer and arranger who has worked with Snoop Dogg and the Pet Shop Boys. He has distilled a number of classical works in a new show called Pocket Symphonies. Visual artist, Chris Paul Daniels, will be providing motion graphics to compliment the music. Coming to HOME’s main theatre in October is former guitarist for the Stone Roses, Aziz Ibrahim. Backed by Manchester Camerata and special guests, he will play compositions from his as-yet unreleased album Lahore to Longsight. These highly personal songs chart his father’s journey during Indian Partition, and his immigration to the UK.
