The forgotten drink in the craft beer revolution becomes the star of its very own festival this month. We Are Lager is a four-day celebration of the world’s finest lagers taking place at Upper Campfield Market from Thursday 4 to Sunday 7 April 2019. Manchester Union Lager, the city’s new, lager-focused brewery, features at the event and the organisers have invited breweries from around the world to showcase the vast array of lagers they produce. Book your ticket to enjoy lager created by over 20 international breweries including Bristol’s acclaimed Lost & Grounded, Hacker Pschorr, Kona Brewing Co, Lervig, Paulaner, Donzoko, Giepel Brewing, Braybrooke Beer Co, 71 Brewing, Manchester’s own Cloudwater and many more. Lucky Saint will be serving up their own brand of alcohol free beer while street food comes courtesy of El Taquero, Dim Sum Su. Get Chucked (gourmet burgers), The Mac Shac and Off The Wheaten Track. Other attractions include an all-star DJ line up running throughout the weekend that wouldn’t look out of place at a summer music festival, curated by Manchester’s longest running club night Funkademia. DJ sets already confirmed from Everything Everything, A Certain Ratio, Luke Unabomber (Electric Chair), Chimpo (Levelz) and Girls on Film. Sunday, meanwhile, is a dedicated family day packed with child-friendly activities, soundtracked by the Take Me To Church DJs. All tickets include a limited-edition glass, beer menu and entry to a selected session. Sessions are as follows:-
