Tolkien-hunk Viggo Mortensen is coming to Cornerhouse in May to answer your questions with the director of his latest film, The Two Faces of January. This new thriller is the directorial debut of Hossein Amini and was adapted from Patricia Highsmith’s book. Lead roles are taken by Viggo Mortensen, Kirsten Dunst and Oscar Isaac. Mortensen has starred in countless films including Witness, The Road, A History of Violence, Lord of the Rings and Cronenberg’s Eastern Promises, a film arguably constructed around the actor’s sharp profile on screen. Iranian-born screenwriter Hossein Amini was nominated for a BAFTA and an Oscar in 1998 for his adaptation of Henry James’ classic novel Wings of a Dove. He also wrote the screenplay for Jude, and, perhaps most famously, 2011’s cult hit Drive starring Ryan Gosling and Carey Mulligan. Tickets go on sale to the general public at noon today (Mon 28 Apr).
