The never-ending love triangle that is music, summer and beer is at it again this weekend for the Chorlton Beer & Cider Festival. Held in the picture-perfect surroundings of St Clement’s Church, it’s set to be a three-day boozy offering covering the delights of a mountainous range of cask-conditioned beers, traditional ciders and perries, and foreign beers, as well as gluten-free options. Those planning to refuel and go the long-haul will be able to scoff at food vendors both savoury and sweet, soundtracked by live bands. Tutored tastings are available (advanced booking required) and there’s a special Thursday preview evening for you weekend heroes who start a day earlier than your peers. But be speedy – only 300 tickets are available!
