Last chance: Bowie-themed art exhibition Sound and Vision at Paper Gallery

The collaborative exhibition Sound and Vision presents ten artists responding to David Bowie’s seminal album, Low, 40 years after it was recorded in Berlin. Drawing inspiration from the process of recording, the artists have created paintings, drawings, collage, sound, music and performance in response to what is widely considered Bowie’s most avant-garde album, made all the more poignant since his death. In amongst the selection there will be a short film by artist, writer, and musician Anthony Donovan; a collaborative audio work with paper installation from artists James Moore and Corrado Morgana; a time-lapse animation with improvised music from Sarah Evans; and two performance pieces that reflect upon the apparent haunting of Château d’Hérouville where Bowie recorded the album in 1976 (John Hyatt, Haley Lock, Simon Woolham and David Moss). There will also be works from Ruby Tingle and Neil Webb. For the opening, there will be a live hypnosis session, performances and live music.
