If you’re considering a day trip over the Pennines this month, Leeds’ Brudenell Social Club is offering an extra incentive: a new weekend-long beer and ale festival. The venue, near Hyde Park, will showcase some of the country’s best independent breweries, such as Magic Rock, Kirkstall, The Kernel and Manchester’s own Marble, over three days and nights of tastings. Highlights are likely to include Summer Wine’s Barista, The Kernel’s Export India Porter and Camden Town’s Gentleman’s Wit, with Brooklyn’s Black Chocolate Stout offering a keg highlight from further afield. Live music will be provided by Spirit of John, Dan Beesley and Parish among others. Each ticket allows access throughout the day, meaning you can come and go as you please, while a ticket also entitles you to a free Brew-denell beer glass.
