Broadway hit The Kite Runner comes to The Lowry this May

Fresh from its acclaimed run on Broadway, the theatrical adaption of Khaled Hosseini’s international bestselling novel, The Kite Runner, comes to The Lowry this May.

Adapted by Mathew Spangler and directed by Giles Croft, this haunting tale of friendship journeys through cultures and continents, following one man’s journey to confront his past and find redemption.

As a beautiful afternoon in Kabul unfolds, the streets are bustling and the skies are filled with the colours of a kite-flying tournament. Unbeknownst to the crowds, lives and friendships will soon be shattered with Afghanistan on the verge of war.
