As if the news about Liverpool favourite Maray finally coming to Manchester this summer wasn’t exciting enough, the lovely folks at Bundobust have gotten involved to help welcome them to the city.

Back in 2019, Maray hosted a one-off dinner to welcome Bundo to Liverpool, now they’ll repay the favour. Through a two week run at both their Oxford Street brewery and Piccadilly sites, they’ll add a mouthwatering selection of Middle Eastern-Indian fusion dishes to the specials menu in a special link-up between the two.

Bundobust staples such as the famed Okra Fries will get a Maray makeover, becoming Jazzy Fries topped with tahini, tamarind, spring onion and chilli, there’ll be the Valafel Pav, a chickpea take on Bundo’s iconic deep-fried potato butty and Maray’s classic Disco Cauli meets Bundo’s Bhel Puri to create Disco Bhel Puri; the Mumbai classic broken samosa pastry snack now dressed with caramelised cauli, flaked almonds and pomegranate.

Each dish will be available to order on its own, or guests can sample a bit of everything with the Bundobust x Maray Combo for 2. £2 from every combo, along with £1 from every Valafel Pav will also be donated to Eat Well MCR, the social enterprise providing chef-made meals to people in need.

The menu will be available from Mon 9 May-Sun 22 May at both Manchester restaurants, along with Bundobust Liverpool.

Mon 9 May - Sun 22 May, Bundobust,
61 Piccadilly, Manchester M1 2AG / St James's Bldg, Bundobust Brewery, 61-69 Oxford St, Manchester M1 6EQ
