Locals are invited to join a free 10-mile guided walk this Sun 24 Sep, passing along the Bury stages of the GM Ringway, Greater Manchester’s long-distance walking trail.
Hosted by Bury Ramblers the event will also celebrate the rebuilding of Redisher Steps which is a joint project of the Ramblers, LWDA (Long Distance Walkers Association), and Bury Council.
The walk will start at 10.15am, setting off from Bury Lido (Clarence Park) car park on Milner Avenue.
The linear walk will take in Holcombe Brook and then loop around Nuttall before finishing at about 3pm at Ramsbottom Railway Station.
The route will follow the GM Ringway from Chesham Woods to Redisher Wood steps, and then a small loop to Ramsbottom.
