Pianist Nils Frahm returns to Manchester’s Albert Hall for an evening of minimalist electronics, as he embarks on a worldwide tour. The creative classical composer uses Moog synthesisers, ambient samples and – as seen on previous live dates – toilet brushes to create textured layers of sound. Since his last improvisational album ‘Solo’, released on the avant-garde label Erased Tapes, Frahm has written a film score, appeared on an Assassin’s Creed trailer, and led a project to build the world’s tallest piano. The first European dates of his ‘All Melody’ world tour are already selling out, so it’s worth grabbing tickets soon.
