Withington favourite Café Blah has announced its return, seven months after the team were forced to close their doors.
The new site, located on Withington High Street, is just a stone’s throw from the old space, and will officially open in the former Herbivorous site on Sat 24 May.
The grand opening coincides with Withington’s brand-new free music festival. The Withy Weekender will take place across several stages, including one housed in Café Blah’s new spot on Sun 25 May.
Café Blah says it will continue to focus on art, music and film events alongside its food and drink offering, establishing itself as a key creative hub in South Manchester. Anyone wanting to host an exhibition, community event, or ‘just a big party’ is encouraged to reach out.
Asked about the return to Withington, co-owner Adam Porrino said this: “Thank you for your love and support which has helped us to make it to this point. The Blah community is really something special. We are excited and nervous, but we can’t wait to get back to doing what we love and bringing an eclectic mix of events and culture back home to Withington.”
