Salford Museum & Art Gallery continues to celebrate the North West’s artists with an exhibition of the work of Caroline Johnson. The fast pace and ever changing landscapes of Manchester and Salford drive the project with Johnson’s lines seeming to vibrate with the history of the two cities. Confronting the ‘undrawable’ she aims to take beauty from the architecture and streets that most of us take for granted. Bringing to life old landmarks such as the Arndale Centre, Salford Lads Club and Chapel Street (pictured) to newer institutions of the ever-changing cities like Media City and the Urbis, she asks us to take a fresh look at new and old.
