This month The Lowry Theatre will host Kenneth Tindall’s captivating ballet production of Casanova, bringing to the stage a journey through the complicated soul behind the infamous romantic’s bombastic philandering.

Promising to ‘flood your senses’, the heart-stopping choreography from Tindall—himself a former Principal Dancer with the company—brims with modern, painterly expression, while the opulent costumes provide an immersive backdrop to Casanova’s continental conquests from Venice to Paris.

Accompanied by a stirringly cinematic live score written by Kerry Muzzey and played by the Northern Ballet Sinfonia, Casanova has been celebrated as ‘a modern masterpiece’ by Reviews Hub and ‘nothing short of mesmerising’ by The Stage

The Northern Ballet is the UK’s pre-eminent narrative ballet company, committed to community engagement and making the art form accessible to the masses, with touring productions ranging from literary masterpieces like The Great Gatsby and Jayne Eyre to classic fairy tales including Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid.
