Returning to The Lowry for a five-week run before beginning a nationwide tour in the spring, ‘kick-asspirational’ pop musical FANTASTICALLY GREAT WOMEN WHO CHANGED THE WORLD has unveiled an all-star cast of decorated, multifaceted actors who wondrously reimagine some of history’s greatest figures from Tue 5 Dec – Sun 7 Jan at The Lowry.

Based on the book by Suffragette descendent Kate Pankhurst, FANTASTICALLY GREAT WOMEN follows the defiantly curious Jade, a whipsmart schoolgirl who sneaks away from her class to explore the unopened Gallery of Greatness in the local museum, uncovering the incredible stories and world-changing achievements of history’s strongest mothers, sisters and daughters during their lives as explorers, artists, scientists and secret agents, with cameos ranging from Frida Kahlo and Rosa Parks to Marie Curie and Amelia Earhart, who each recount their remarkable lives through a blend of soaring speeches and infectious original pop songs.

Promising a perfect night out for unapologetic girl-squads around the city, FANTASTICALLY GREAT WOMEN is led by a cast of illustrious acting talent, many of whom reunite for the first time since performing on the wildly successful UK Tour of searing Tudor satire, Six: The Musical.

Chloe Hart, who played Catherine of Aragon, as well as a star turn as Pat in the Adelphi Theatre’s production of Kinky Boots, brings her multifaceted range to star in FANTASTICALLY GREAT WOMEN as Gertrude Ederle, Jane Austin and Mary Anning all at once. Elena Breschi, Six’s Catherine Parr, returns to the stage as Sacagawea, Frida Kahlo and Marie Curie, while London School of Musical Theatre graduate Jennifer Caldwell shines as Emmeline Pankhurst following her own memorable Six outing as Catherine Parr.
