Castlefield Gallery unveils its New Art Spaces in Federation House tomorrow evening – a ‘pop-up project space initiative’ aiming to offer more opportunities for emerging talent in the North West. The launch will see a host of artists and artist groups taking over all eight floors of the building to preview their work, as well as speeches from Maria Balshaw (director of Whitworth and Manchester Art Galleries) and Alison Clark-Jenkins (director of Combined Arts and North for Arts Council England). DIY Art School will hold a silent auction of original artwork postcards, Mark Devereux Projects’ supported artists will be showing their works in progress, while the extensive list of talent also includes Lauren Sagar and Sharon Campbell, TOAST, MARS, Sam Meech, Kathryn Miller and Lisa Denyer, all conveniently on display under one roof.

Thu 13 Mar, Federation House, Federation Street, M60 0AF, 6pm – 9pm, FREE, castlefieldgallery.co.uk
