Performing for one night only on Sun 14 Jan, celebrated comic Janine Harouni kicks off the Lowry’s 2024 comedy calendar with her riotous yet intricately written new show, Man’oushe.

Nominated for Best Show at the 2023 Edinburgh Comedy Award, Man’oushe explores the hilarious dysfunction at the heart of Harouni’s family history, as her assured certainty about her roots turn to chaos when she takes a DNA test. Hailed as one of the most critically acclaimed stand-up shows of the year, Man’oushe offers a ‘perfectly wrought hour’ (The Guardian) which explores Harouni’s Arab ancestry, imminent parenthood and the dangers of mail-order genealogy kits.

Janine Harouni performs at the Lowry following appearances on The Russell Howard Hour, The John Bishop Show, Comedians Giving Lectures, Question Team, The Stand Up Sketch Show and The Now Show, as well as a celebrated starring role in ITV2’s Buffering.
