Quench your thirst for knowledge of the intriguing heritage of Salford this Saturday with a guided tour of the famous pubs of Chapel Street, as part of this year’s Salford Food and Drink Festival. Beginning at The Crescent – renowned for its large selection of ales – make your way to the likes of The Moonraker, The Kings Arms, The Black Lion, The Eagle Inn and The Salford Arms, discovering the pubs’ history and their finest ales along the way. And if you still feel you have a few drinks left in you, take the short stroll to the final destination of the tour, the Mark Addy, where popular local chef Robert Owen Brown will be at hand with a well-deserved special festival pie and mash after all of the, er, thirsty work. If you can’t make it this time, why not download the trail and do it yourself?
